GMO Internet is seeking a Next-Gen Data Center Strategy Director to plan and execute future growth strategies. This role involves designing and transforming infrastructure, from data center investment and new facility launches to AI-driven operational advancements, aiming for a highly efficient and profitable DC model for the AI era.
Must-haves
- Experience leading large-scale infrastructure construction/renovation in data centers, cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure.
- Practical experience and negotiation experience in hardware/facility procurement.
- Experience managing budgets in the hundreds of millions to billions of yen.
- Experience formulating medium-to-long-term roadmaps based on technological trends.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as the person in charge of launching a new data center.
- Experience designing and implementing GPU/liquid-cooled infrastructure.
- Experience in generative AI/AIOps implementation projects.
- Experience negotiating contracts with overseas vendors.
- Experience in organizational management.
