Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using anjin.tech ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Operator

The Site is operated by an individual freelance developer ("we," "us") based in Japan. anjin.tech is not a recruitment agency, employer, or licensed paid employment placement business (有料職業紹介事業) unless otherwise stated in writing.

3. Nature of the service

anjin.tech is an information aggregator for foreign tech workers exploring roles in Japan. We compile and display job-related information from publicly accessible sources so you can discover openings in one place. We do not intermediate hiring.

We do not:

• Accept job applications on our servers
• Charge job seekers fees to browse listings
• Guarantee that listings are current, accurate, or complete
• Guarantee that translations (where shown) are error-free
• Participate in hiring decisions or employment contracts

Each listing shows its source platform (e.g. HERP, Green, Findy, Wantedly) and links to the original posting. You must verify details and apply only through that official source.

Job alerts (optional): You may register your email to receive daily notifications when new listings match filters you choose. Alerts are informational only—we do not guarantee completeness, timing, or that every matching job will be included. Listings may change or be removed on source platforms after we send an alert. You can manage or unsubscribe at any time via the link in alert emails. See our Privacy Policy for how alert data is handled.

4. Job listing information (sources & purpose)

Listings on the Site are compiled from publicly accessible job boards, ATS/career pages, and related sources. anjin.tech is not the employer or posting party. Company names, job titles, and descriptions may belong to third parties and are shown for identification and reference.

Where we show English text, it is a machine-assisted translation or summary of Japanese source material for convenience. It is not a substitute for the original posting. If there is any conflict, the Japanese text on the linked source prevails.

Translating or summarizing content does not transfer ownership to us and does not by itself grant a license to republish third-party materials. We display information to help discovery; rights holders may request changes or removal as described below.

5. Employment Security Act (Japan)

Under Japan's Employment Security Act (職業安定法), certain activities that directly connect job seekers and employers as paid placement (職業紹介) require a license. anjin.tech is intended to operate as job information provision only: we publish information and outbound links; users apply themselves on third-party sites.

We do not collect resumes for placement, introduce candidates to employers for a fee, or negotiate employment on anyone's behalf. If our practices change materially, we will update these terms.

For official context on employment services in Japan, see the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) materials on employment and staffing. This Site is not endorsed by MHLW or any listed job board.

6. No professional advice

Content on the Site is for general information only. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, immigration, tax, or career advice. Consult qualified professionals for decisions about visas, contracts, or relocation.

7. Intellectual property

The Site layout, branding, filters, and original text created by the operator are owned by us or used with permission.

Job descriptions, company names, logos, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. We display them to identify listings and link users to official sources—not to replace those sources.

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights—or if a listing is outdated or was posted without authority—contact us using the process in Section 8. We may remove, truncate, or correct content at our discretion, including limiting displayed text to short excerpts with a prominent link to the original posting.

8. Content complaints & takedown

We respect rights of employers, job boards, and other content owners. To request removal, correction, or attribution updates:

1. Contact us via the Contact page or LinkedIn link there.
2. Include: (a) the URL on anjin.tech, (b) the original source URL if known, (c) your relationship to the content (rights holder, employer, authorized agent, etc.), and (d) a clear description of the issue.
3. We will review good-faith requests promptly and typically respond within a few business days. We may remove or update listings, ask for clarification, or explain why information remains (e.g. factual reference with outbound link only).

Submitting a notice does not require a court order. It also does not create an admission of liability by either party. Repeated or bad-faith abuse of the process may be ignored.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Site in a way that impairs service for others (automated access may be limited)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
• Use the Site for unlawful, harassing, or misleading purposes
• Impersonate the operator or misrepresent affiliation with employers

10. Third-party services

The Site links to external job boards, company websites, and community resources. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices. Your use of those sites is subject to their terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ANY LISTING. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SITE (WHICH IS ZERO FOR FREE BROWSING).

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these terms.

14. Changes

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent applicable to an individual operator based in Japan. Disputes should first be raised via the Contact page.
