Overview
anjin.tech is operated by an individual freelance developer in Japan. The site aggregates publicly available job listings and does not require you to create an account to browse. We aim to collect as little personal data about visitors as possible.
Information we do not collect (browsing)
You can browse anjin.tech without creating an account. For general browsing we do not ask for:
- Name or password
- Resume or CV uploads
- Payment or billing information on anjin.tech
- Job applications submitted through our servers
When you apply for a job, you leave anjin.tech and interact with the original job board or employer. Their privacy policies apply.
Job alert emails (optional)
If you choose to create a job alert, we collect your email address and the filter settings you save (e.g. tech stack, role category, salary threshold). We use this only to send you matching job notifications and to let you manage or unsubscribe from alerts.
- Verification: We send a confirmation email before activating alerts (double opt-in).
- Email delivery: Transactional messages are sent via Resend, our email delivery provider.
- No passwords: You manage alerts via a private link sent to your email; we do not store passwords.
- Unsubscribe: Every alert email includes links to pause, delete, or unsubscribe.
Alert data is stored in our database while your subscription is active. Deleting all alerts or unsubscribing removes your email and saved filters from our alert system.
Third-party job listing data (not visitor personal data)
To operate the Site, we process job posting information that originates from third-party job boards, employers, and public career pages—such as job titles, company names, locations, salaries where published, and job descriptions. This data describes open roles, not visitors to anjin.tech.
We compile and may translate or summarize Japanese source text for display. We do not sell job posting text or visitor data. Job boards and employers remain responsible for their own postings on their platforms.
If you are a rights holder and want a listing removed or corrected, use the Contact page or the takedown process described in our Terms of Service (Section 8). That process is separate from individual privacy rights under GDPR or APPI, because we typically do not hold identifiable data about applicants.
Information that may be collected automatically
Like most websites, basic technical data may be processed when you visit:
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps (typically retained by hosting providers for security and operations).
- Analytics: If enabled, we may use privacy-oriented or standard web analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can use browser extensions or settings to limit tracking.
- Cookies: Essential cookies may be used for site function; analytics cookies may be used if analytics is enabled.
How we use information
We use automatically collected data to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the website
- Understand which pages and features are used
- Fix errors and abuse
If you subscribe to job alerts, we also use your email and saved filters to query new listings and send daily notifications (9:00 AM Japan time when configured).
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party links and content
Listings link to external job boards and company sites. Those third parties have their own privacy practices. Embedded or linked content (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn) is governed by those platforms' policies.
Data retention
Server and analytics retention periods depend on our hosting and analytics providers. We do not maintain a database of site visitors tied to identities unless you subscribe to job alerts or contact us directly (e.g. via LinkedIn). Job alert subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Job listing data is retained while listings remain useful for the service and may be updated or deleted when sources change or upon a valid removal request.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect minimal visitor data, most requests will relate to information you sent us directly. Contact us via the Contact page.
Children
anjin.tech is intended for adults seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the latest version.
