Overview
anjin.tech is operated by an individual freelance developer in Japan. The site aggregates publicly available job listings. You can browse without an account. Signing in with email is optional and lets you save jobs and companies and manage job alerts.
Information we do not collect (browsing)
You can browse anjin.tech without creating an account. For general browsing we do not ask for:
- Name or password
- Resume or CV uploads
- Payment or billing information on anjin.tech
- Job applications submitted through our servers
When you apply for a job, you leave anjin.tech and interact with the original job board or employer. Their privacy policies apply.
Accounts, saved items, and job alerts (optional)
If you sign in or create a job alert, we collect your email address. Signing in is passwordless: we email you a one-time link and store a session cookie so you stay signed in on that browser.
With an account you can save jobs and companies (stored as the job's board id and the company slug) and save job-alert filters (e.g. tech stack, role, salary). We use this only to show your saved items, send matching job notifications, and let you manage or unsubscribe.
- Verification: We confirm your email via a link before activating alerts (double opt-in). The same link signs you in.
- Email delivery: Transactional messages are sent via Resend, our email delivery provider.
- No passwords: We do not store passwords.
- Unsubscribe: Every alert email includes links to pause, delete, or unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes alerts; it does not delete saved jobs or companies until you remove them or ask us to delete your account.
Account data is stored in our database while your account is active. Contact us if you want the account deleted.
Third-party job listing data (not visitor personal data)
To operate the Site, we process job posting information that originates from third-party job boards, employers, and public career pages—such as job titles, company names, locations, salaries where published, and job descriptions. This data describes open roles, not visitors to anjin.tech.
We compile and may translate or summarize Japanese source text for display. We do not sell job posting text or visitor data. Job boards and employers remain responsible for their own postings on their platforms.
If you are a rights holder and want a listing removed or corrected, use the Contact page or the takedown process described in our Terms of Service (Section 8). That process is separate from individual privacy rights under GDPR or APPI, because we typically do not hold identifiable data about applicants.
Information that may be collected automatically
Like most websites, basic technical data may be processed when you visit:
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps (typically retained by hosting providers for security and operations).
- Analytics: If enabled, we may use privacy-oriented or standard web analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can use browser extensions or settings to limit tracking.
- Cookies: Essential cookies are used to keep you signed in after a magic-link login. Analytics cookies may be used if analytics is enabled.
How we use information
We use automatically collected data to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the website
- Understand which pages and features are used
- Fix errors and abuse
If you subscribe to job alerts or sign in, we also use your email, saved filters, and saved jobs/companies to run those features.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party links and content
Listings link to external job boards and company sites. Those third parties have their own privacy practices. Embedded or linked content (e.g. YouTube, LinkedIn) is governed by those platforms' policies.
Data retention
Server and analytics retention periods depend on our hosting and analytics providers. We do not maintain a database of site visitors tied to identities unless you sign in, subscribe to job alerts, or contact us directly (e.g. via LinkedIn). Job alert subscriptions and saved items are retained until you remove them or ask us to delete your account. Job listing data is retained while listings remain useful for the service and may be updated or deleted when sources change or upon a valid removal request.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect minimal visitor data, most requests will relate to information you sent us directly. Contact us via the Contact page.
Children
anjin.tech is intended for adults seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the latest version.
