Seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the core of Buyee, a leading cross-border e-commerce service. The team is responsible for the stable operation of AWS-based infrastructure, including new construction and ongoing maintenance, for a global user base.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of infrastructure design, construction, and operation experience in AWS, or 3+ years with lead responsibility.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude).
- Infrastructure team lead experience.
- Production operation experience with container environments using AWS (ECS).
- Experience in AWS network and security design (VPC, ALB, CloudFront, WAF).
- Experience with infrastructure configuration management (IaC) using Terraform and team development.
- Experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience introducing and operating the latest AWS services and security services (VPC Lattice, Cognito, AWS Config, GuardDuty).
- Experience designing and operating modern observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, AWS X-Ray).
- Experience in cost optimization and performance tuning in large-scale, high-traffic environments.
- Advanced experience in database operation, tuning, and migration (MySQL tuning, migration to Aurora MySQL).
- Experience in architecture replacement (monolith to microservices, strangler pattern).
- Experience in streamlining infrastructure operations using AI agents.

Work style
Onsite in Tokyo (Gotanda JP Building 7F, 8-4-13 Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo). Discretionary labor system or Flextime system (core hours 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM).

Salary is negotiable. Annual bonus based on company performance and individual results. Probationary period of 3 months.
