As a Senior Software Engineer for Incident Lake, you will own the entire lifecycle of our critical incident data platform. You will lead the design and implementation of a resilient, multi-cloud, and multi-region architecture, driving technical decisions with a first-principles approach.
Must-haves
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in large-scale backend systems with multi-cloud (GCP/AWS) and multi-region architecture
- Deep understanding of CDN, Load Balancing, and distributed Database management
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog
- Expert knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL design and query optimization
- Experience in comprehensive software testing
- English: Independent (CEFR - B2)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience designing and operating APIs in TypeScript (Node.js) and Go
- Experience with agentic systems or MCP servers and tools
- Direct experience in on-call support and managing high-priority production incidents
- Experience with Agile development and third-party API integrations

Work style
Minimum of 3 days per week on-site presence required at headquarters (Tsukuba Station) or designated office. Flextime System (7:00 AM - 10:00 PM).

Annual Salary: ¥8,000,000 – ¥20,000,000. Stock Option program available. Annual salary includes 40 hours of fixed overtime pay per month; additional overtime paid separately. Permanent Employee. 3-month probationary period. Full social insurance coverage.
