Safie is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer or Lead Candidate to join their team. You will contribute to the enhancement and development of their cloud video platform, which supports a wide range of industries and handles a massive scale of connected cameras and data. This role involves developing new features, re-architecting existing systems, and ensuring the stability and scalability of their large-scale architecture.
Must-haves
- Experience in backend development and operation of web services.
- Experience demonstrating technical leadership in defining design and implementation strategies.
- Experience negotiating with internal stakeholders, including planning and Product Management roles.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Python or Go.
- Development and operation experience on PaaS like AWS, or SRE experience.
- Development experience related to authentication (OAuth2, SSO, etc.).
- Development experience with AI processing systems.
- Experience designing, developing, and operating RDB (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) or NoSQL (DynamoDB, etc.).
- Experience with high-traffic, large-scale backend system development and operation.
- Basic knowledge of video/audio codecs (AV sync, DTS, PTS).
- Knowledge of modern video streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH, WebRTC) and development experience using them.
