newmo is a mobility startup aiming to redefine regional transportation, starting with taxis and ride-sharing. They are seeking a senior engineer to lead the backend development of their next-generation dispatch platform, supporting nationwide expansion and entry into autonomous driving.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of development experience in Go or a statically typed language (Rust, C++, Java)
- Experience with technical decision-making using Design Docs or ADRs
- Tech lead experience in a development team
- Experience designing, developing, and operating backend and infrastructure systems
- Experience designing, developing, and operating data models using RDBMS, NoSQL, or NewSQL
- Knowledge and experience with network protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP
- Experience identifying and resolving technical issues (temporary and permanent)
- Experience proactively identifying technical problems and resolving cross-organizational issues
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to understand and analyze abstract requirements and work autonomously
- Ability to consider application operational costs and continuously develop/improve
- Ability to propose and execute solutions in various domains without being fixated on a specific area
- Experience in the MaaS domain
- Experience using AI for development and operationalization (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
- Development experience using cloud services (Google Cloud, AWS)
- Development experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Experience designing secure systems based on authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2, OIDC)
