As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Official App, leading the entire process from test strategy formulation to execution and improvement. You will be a member of the development team, contributing to product quality improvement for a digital government service used by 14 million Tokyo residents.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of practical experience in test design for mobile applications (iOS / Android)
- Experience in formulating or supporting the formulation of test plans and test strategies
- Practical experience in creating test cases (normal, abnormal, boundary values, state transitions)
- Experience as a leader or sub-leader in a test team
- Understanding of iOS / Android specifications
- Development and QA experience in a team using Git and code reviews
- Ownership to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and proactively resolve quality issues
Nice-to-haves
- Experience utilizing Generative AI/AI agents in QA operations
- JSTQB Foundation Level or higher certification
- QA experience in agile development teams
- Experience designing and executing API tests (REST API / gRPC)
- Experience implementing mobile test automation (XCUITest / Espresso)
- Experience building and operating E2E test automation frameworks (Appium, Detox, Maestro, etc.)
- Experience testing authentication flows
- Experience testing payment and point systems
- Experience describing acceptance criteria using Gherkin / BDD
- Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG 2.2 AA compliance)
- Knowledge of security testing (OWASP Mobile Top 10)
- Experience with load testing assuming large-scale traffic
- Experience in designing quality metrics and visualizing quality through dashboard construction

Monthly salary: ¥540,000 - ¥810,000. Annual salary: ¥7,500,000 - ¥11,000,000. Employment Type: Contract Employee. Probationary Period: 3 months. Overtime work: average 30 hours per month.
