【About This Position】
Product Engineers at KiteRa are responsible for a wide range of tasks, from frontend to backend, and are involved in the entire process from requirement definition with Product Managers (PdMs) to design, implementation, and release. Since you will be involved in discussions about "what to build," your mission is to maximize the customer value of the product through technical decision-making.
In our development environment, AI coding tools like Cursor are already a given and an established part of our culture. We have created a system that accelerates routine tasks and development processes, allowing us to dedicate the freed-up time to optimal architecture design, maximizing user experience (UX), and fundamentally exploring "how to deliver high value to users."
A distinctive feature of our development environment is that we collaborate with licensed professionals such as social insurance労務士 (labor and social security attorneys) and other experts alongside PdMs. We proceed with development by leveraging the knowledge of these specialists who possess deep understanding of laws and practical business operations. Deep domain knowledge directly translates into product differentiation.
KiteRa is now seriously evolving from an "Internal Regulations Management Tool" into a "GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) Platform." By joining as a core member at this time of significant structural business change, you can be involved from the beginning not only in product growth but also in the design of the development organization and technical infrastructure.
【Job Responsibilities】
You will be broadly responsible for the application areas of KiteRa Biz and KiteRa Pro, contributing to everything from feature development to technical infrastructure improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
■ Feature Development & Improvement
- Feature design, implementation, testing, release, bug fixing, and performance optimization
- Participation in specification definition and requirement definition in collaboration with PdMs and experts
- Responding to inquiries through technical support
- Proposing continuous improvements based on user feedback
■ Quality Improvement & Technical Infrastructure
- Improving quality through design and code reviews
- Promoting test design and automation
- Resolving technical debt, improving the development infrastructure, and enhancing development productivity
■ Contribution to the Team
- Improving the team's overall technical capabilities through knowledge sharing and documentation maintenance
【Background of Recruitment】
KiteRa is currently advancing its evolution into a GRC platform and expanding into multiple products. With business growth, the scope of products and features to be developed continues to expand, and we anticipate an increase in both the number of products and development themes in the future.
Until now, we have focused on a single product, internal regulations management, and developed it with a small team. However, we are now entering a phase of nurturing multiple products concurrently, and the need for engineers who can drive development forward based on user value is increasing. We are currently in a stage of continuously improving the development infrastructure and development productivity itself, while balancing the speed of feature development with quality.
We are looking for individuals who can be involved from the requirement definition stage with PdMs and experts, and create product value through technology, rather than simply maintaining a completed product.
【KiteRa's Unique Strengths】
◆ Deep Domain Specialization
- We have focused on the highly specialized and error-intolerant fields of internal regulations and labor management, refining our products to be deeply rooted in practical business workflows. Our practical features and usability, which are difficult for general-purpose tools to replicate, are highly valued.
◆ Dual Focus on Corporations (KiteRa Biz) and Professionals (KiteRa Pro)
- We support both companies that manage their own regulations and social insurance労務士 firms that assist clients with regulation creation, with products tailored to each. These two user groups are closely connected through retainer contracts, and the network that supports this relationship itself forms our business foundation.
◆ Management and Organization with Deep Domain Understanding
- Our CEO is a licensed social insurance労務士, and licensed professionals (domain experts) are directly involved in product development. Decision-making that considers the nuances of laws and practical operations contributes to the product's reliability.
【Advantage in the AI Era】
We believe that KiteRa's value will only increase as AI evolves.
Regulations and labor management are fields that strictly require "accuracy," "legal basis," and "company-specific individuality," where errors are not permissible. For example, even the same "Childcare and Family Care Leave Regulations" will have appropriate content that differs depending on a company's employment structure, labor-management agreements, and past operational history, and a single phrase can lead to legal violations or labor disputes. These areas are difficult to safely replace with general-purpose AI alone, making reliable domain data and expert knowledge indispensable.
KiteRa possesses the foundation for AI to perform well, consisting of "regulation data × legal amendment information × company-specific operational knowledge." For us, AI is not a threat but a tailwind. By combining expert knowledge and AI in the creation, checking, and revision proposal of regulations, we believe we can enhance the value proposition of our products.
【Future Business Outlook】
Many companies manage their internal regulations and work rules using paper or Word documents. They manually handle legal amendments, and old regulations go unnoticed and unaddressed. We have been tackling this challenge since 2019, pioneering the market for internal regulation DX through our SaaS product, which has been adopted by over 4,000 companies.
With our two products, "KiteRa Biz" for corporations and "KiteRa Pro" for social insurance労務士 firms, we support both "users" and "creators" of regulations. Backed by a total of 3 billion yen in funding, we are now entering a phase of further business expansion.
Regulations are just the entry point. Beyond that lies a wide range of operations related to corporate compliance and risk management. Building upon the domain knowledge and customer base established through regulation management, we aim to evolve into a GRC platform that supports these areas with multiple products. This is the realization of our mission to "create a world where people can work with peace of mind."
This phase, with an increasing number of products and domains to handle, offers continuous opportunities to tackle new technical challenges and product development. You can be involved as a core member supporting business growth through technology, participating in everything from requirement definition to design, implementation, and operation.
