Marui Group is seeking a Tech Lead to promote a microservice architecture for their large-scale fintech services, which handle an annual transaction value of 4.9 trillion JPY. The role involves migrating existing Java-based systems to a microservice architecture and developing new backend features for their toC fintech services.
Must-haves
- Minimum 5 years of backend development experience in web services
- Experience in designing and developing new features
- Experience in architectural design and technical decision-making
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with large-scale or highly complex systems
- System tuning, including performance optimization and bottleneck identification/resolution
- Experience in web system development/design in the financial/FinTech domain
- Knowledge of ID management, authentication protocols, security, and privacy technologies
- Deep knowledge and experience with Serverside Kotlin, Go, React, JavaScript (Node.js), or other backend development languages/frameworks
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers

Annual salary: 8,000,000 JPY - 16,000,000 JPY. Probationary period: 3 months.
