Chura Data is seeking AI Engineers to design, develop, and operate applications and systems incorporating Generative AI and Machine Learning. The company is based in Okinawa but operates with a flat, project-based organizational structure, welcoming remote workers from across Japan.
Must-haves
- 1+ year of professional software development experience, including Python
- Experience developing/building on at least one cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Experience developing applications using LLM APIs (Claude, GPT, Gemini, etc.)
- Experience evaluating and improving developed ML/AI systems
- Business-level Japanese communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing RAG applications, AI agents, or multi-agent systems
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps design, development, and operation
- Experience operating and maintaining LLM/AI applications or ML systems
- Communication skills to elicit, organize, and solve client challenges

Work style
Nationwide remote work is possible within Japan. Approximately half of the employees reside outside of Okinawa. Occasional business trips may be required.
Other notes
Annual salary: ¥5,500,000 - ¥10,000,000. This is a full-time position. Probationary period of 3 months with no change in conditions.
