LITALICO is seeking a Data Engineer to promote data-driven decision-making across the company. You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating data infrastructure, as well as contributing to data analytics and AI/LLM initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to evolve the company's data culture and contribute to the advancement of the welfare and education sectors.
Must-haves
- Experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure using public clouds like AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience designing and developing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for data analysis platforms such as DWH and data lakes.
- Experience developing batch processing, APIs, and tools using Python and SQL (approx. 3+ years).
- Experience with modern team development using GitHub, CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, etc.), and Docker.
- Smooth communication skills with business stakeholders (PdM, etc.) and other engineers, and experience driving requirements definition to implementation autonomously.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building and operating infrastructure with modern data stacks (MDS) using Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, etc.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automated construction using IaC tools like Terraform.
- Experience building MLOps/LLMOps infrastructure, or designing/developing products/PoCs using generative AI/LLMs.
- Knowledge of data governance and security when handling sensitive data such as personal information.
- Experience migrating large-scale data or tuning database performance.

Work style
Hybrid work with occasional (1-4 times/month) in-office presence in Tokyo required. Remote work from home or a similar location is expected. No satellite offices. Public spaces like cafes are not suitable for remote work.
Other notes
Annual salary range: 8.5 million to 14 million JPY. Monthly salary: 590,000 to 897,500 JPY. Discretionary labor system (special professional type) applies, with 8 hours considered a full workday regardless of actual hours worked. Trial period of 3 months with no changes to salary or conditions.
