Tenchijin Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer for the 18-month Global South Project (Oct 2026 - Mar 2028). You will implement domain logic and APIs for a scalable, secure, AI-ready analytics platform using satellite data and GeoAI for infrastructure operators in Global South markets. This is a fully remote, cross-border role with English as the working language.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of backend development in Go, Python, Java/Kotlin, or TypeScript/Node.js
- Experience building and consuming REST/gRPC APIs
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Testing discipline and familiarity with CI/CD workflows
- Understanding of containerized development (Docker) and cloud-hosted services
- Professional working proficiency in English
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with PostGIS or geospatial data handling
- Experience with message queues / streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Prior work on multi-tenant SaaS products
- Experience working in a cross-functional POD / squad delivery model
