Turing is developing an End-to-End autonomous driving ML model. This role focuses on improving data and model development by building and operating large-scale data infrastructure, optimizing pipelines, and designing internal tools. The software built will be deployed on real vehicles, presenting unique challenges compared to web or SaaS development.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of software development experience using Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar
- Experience with product development (requirements definition through operations)
- Experience with team-based development
- Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent)
- Must work onsite at Heiwajima Office, Tokyo
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing and operating distributed systems
- Data engineering experience using SQL, Spark, or similar
- Hands-on experience with IaC (AWS CDK / Terraform, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in performance tuning of deep learning model training algorithms
- Knowledge and experience with distributed parallel training
- Infrastructure operations experience (on-premises and/or cloud)
- Experience designing and operating systems using Kubernetes
- Web frontend development experience
